Beginning with the second trimester, avoid exercising while lying on your back, because your baby's weight can affect your blood circulation, advises the American Academy of Family Physicians. Don't get overheated when you exercise. Use a fan if you exercise indoors. Outdoors, exercise in the early morning or late evening if the weather is warm.
